There was an undeniable feeling when writing “Next to Me”. That desire felt in the rock ballads of the 80’s had to drive this song, only with that steel guitar moving the night train. The half truth in the exaggeration of ‘life just ain’t the same without you next to me’ is exactly what this song is about!
“Down in the Valley”, written in tribute to the beloved hometown of Nestor AnDress. A little big town with those he loves most, rich in culture and hold some of his treasured memories, called Brownsville, Texas.
To love, is the grandest task of all. To be loved, is the divine gift of life. “I’m with you” was written in the commitment to that love. No matter the course, it’ll be traveled together.
From “Falling in love”, to the heart wrench of “When you lie”, and the liberation of “Nothing but the Good Times”, there’s no escaping the emotional conviction of the lyrics laced with a steel guitar, guitar solos, and the warm Texas voice of Nestor AnDress. It’s a personalized love-life soundtrack.
